I recently purchased the new Flip video camera. I did all the research; read the reviews, read the specs, spoke to my videographer homie, had a long discussion with the sales person at Best Buy and decided to buy it. Instead of a super detailed description I'll just give the pros and cons and a nice little video I made the day I bout it.Pros: Small and easy to hold. Great image and sound quality (way better than the sucky GE digital camera I had). Easy to use, not that many buttons. Cool USB flippy thing.
Cons: EXTREMELY short battery life. It's supposed to last hours on a full charge. HOURS MY ASS! Shit lasted for 15 mins of recording. No image stabilization (thank goodness for iMovie's stabilization). The USB flippy thing is kind of awkward to plug in. LIES: you cannot upload videos to Youtube & Facebook straight from the camera. It has to be plugged into your computer to do so -_-
